Remember, in some faculties these tasks are divided between the faculty office
and schools.There may be tasks that you are not required to perform.
- Ensure that all of your Modules (units) that will be offered are correctly
listed in Syllabus Plus.
- note-You need a size for each module.
- Ensure that all of the teaching staff in your school are correctly listed
in Syllabus Plus:
- Adding new staff-Use their QUT Staff ID numbers in the host field if
known, otherwise leave this blank until you obtain their ID number.
- Delete staff records that will never be required again.
- Obtain reasonable time constraints from teaching staff.
- Check/Modify/Create Programmes of Study.
- Check/Modify/Create Activity Templates.
Ensure that each module has all appropriate templates available e.g. if
ABC123 always has a lecture, tutorial and practical, then there should be
a template made for each type of activity. Use approved descriptions.
- Create Pathways (Week 4).
- Generate Activities from the Activity Templates (Week 5).
- allocate lecturers and teaching details (if required) in the Activity tab
(Week 6).
Double Degrees
These are a shared responsibility.
For Semester 1, 200x (an odd semester)
the faculty/school whose program comes first will be responsible. For example,
in the case of B Bus Accty/B Laws, the School of Accountancy will coordinate
the preparation of timetabling data in consultation with the School of Law.
For Semester 2, 200x (an even semester) the faculty/school whose program comes second will be responsible For example,
in the case of B Bus Accty/B Laws, the School of Law will coordinate
the preparation of timetabling data in consultation with the School of Accountancy.
