Printing a confirmation slip |
If you are doing ad-hoc bookings in some of your specialist spaces, you can email people a confirmation of their booking by doing the following. In order for these procedures to work, you will need to do some preparatory work. First, you will need to have the printing template QUTprint.ptm installed and saved in your Syllabus Plus Print folder. Most Syllabus Plus users will have already done this. Full instructions can be found here: http://www.timetabling.qut.edu.au/procedures/usingsyllabu/loadprinttem.jsp You will also need to have a screen capture program installed on your PC. There are a number of freeware programs available. Please contact Timetabling if you have difficulty in obtaining one of these programs. For the purpose of these instructions, we will be using Wisdom-soft ScreenHunter 4.0. Click on the booking entry in the Home List. You can capture the booking confirmation while still in the booking screen, or in the activities screen, by selecting the activity and hitting Ctrl+P. This will bring up a window that looks like this:
You should then press the preview button, which will bring up an image like this:
Hit F6 to capture the image. The mouse arrow will be replaced by a set of crosshairs. Position crosshairs in the top left corner of the confirmation slip, click and drag the length of the slip to the bottom right hand corner. When the expanding rectangular area has covered everything that you want to capture, release the mouse button. The image has now been captured, and copied to your clipboard. This image can be pasted directly into Eudora, or any word document. A PDF version of these instructions can be found here.
