The University only has 11 teaching rooms with a seating capacity of 200 or
more. And there is only one theatre on each campus that seats more that 300.
Given the substantial enrolment numbers in some of our units, it is essential
that we use these large rooms effectively to accommodate large classes.
Every semester, Faculties and Schools prepare a list of units which are expected
to have enrolment in excess of 250 in the coming semester. This list is used
to compile a Register of Large Units. Lecture activities attached
to units in this Register are scheduled first when the draft timetable
is prepared.
